CARE(2019) is a “global leader within the worldwide movement
dedicated to ending poverty.” As part of there mission is to save lives and to
achieve social justice with a focus towards women and girls. Social justice is
important to this organization because they believe that social injustice
prevents people from having access to the necessary knowledge and resources
that are available for them to improve their situations.
Through my research of this website I was able to gain
insight about how in many of these country women and girls do not have many
rights and are viewed as less than equal in their household. The CARE
organization believes that through the empowerment of women and girls that it
can reduce poverty. By simply educating young girl, equal household chores, and
eliminating early childhood marriages will provide opportunities for these
women and girls to be productive contributing factor within their household and
communities.

ReplyDeleteI am glad that you are interested in learning about social justice, especially for women and girls. In many countries women and girls are treated as an unequal. I agree that keeping women and girls down is all about keeping them uneducated. When you are uneducated, you miss out on all the opportunities that surround you. If women are just giving a chance, they can make their lives and their families' lives better.
Thank you Ashley for bringing to the forefront an inspiring organization. The idea of taking the time to offer assistance for women and young girls to empower them in a place where they usually are not is what our world needs more of.
