When I think of the
factors that support me on a daily basis are my fur babies, my family (blood
and military), and my religion. My fur babies are my support because every day I come home that are excited to see
me and shower me with love and affection. My family is there when I need to
vent, provide words of encouragement, or to give me life perspective. My
religion is something that carries me day in and day out. I pray and talk to my
God throughout the day to seek guidance, understanding, and strength.
When
I think about the possibility of not having these things as s support system, I can honestly say I do not know where
I would be. Each provides me with a different type of support. I don’t see my
family often because of distance and because
they don’t travel much. As a result, we talk on the phone or FaceTime to have
constant communication. Having my fur babies to go home to after a long
day at work is something I look forward to.
My religion keeps me sane and gives me
hope to keep moving forward when test, trials, and tribulations come my way.
Within
my career field, I know that every couple
of years I will be moving to a different state
or maybe another country. I must pack up everything and relocate somewhere else. In the beginning, it was fun, and I enjoyed it. Now as I have gotten older, I do not like the aspect of continually having to start over because once I get settled and start to build
new friendships/relationship, it’s time
to move. Throughout my career, I have
been able to have the support of my fur babies, my family, and my religion.
Without them, my world would be lonely, and I would be lost and confused.
